Bill and Marie Selby were interested in helping local students with limited financial means pursue a higher education, with the goal of not only achieving a meaningful career, but helping their community. Today, “Selby Scholars” are undergraduate students who demonstrate maturity, grit, and resilience in the face of adversity. Selby Scholars are resourceful, committed, and academically prepared to succeed in college and the pursuit of their dreams.

Submission Timeframe

The Selby Scholarship application opened on January 1, 2026 and will close on March 1, 2026 at 4:59 pm.

Documents

1) Current official transcript;
2) One letter of recommendation;
3) Resume (Optional); and
4) FAFSA Student Submission Summary (SSM) with SAI code/number.

If you are not able to complete the FAFSA, please email Scholarships Manager, Kiarra Womack (kwomack@selbyfdn.org).


