Links2Success is a Selby Foundation grantee and results-focused nonprofit that equips youth with skills, knowledge, and habits needed for success in higher education with an emphasis on education, community service, and leadership.
At the organization’s 10th Anniversary Celebration last month in Arcadia, Selby Scholar Brian Madriz, a Links2Success alumnus and first-generation student, addressed the crowd of youth and families reflecting on the importance of education and his hopes for the future.
Brian first enrolled in the organization’s Leadership & Career Camp as a middle school student, overcoming obstacles with the support of the program. Now a senior at the University of South Florida with plans to attend medical school, Brian continues to work as a senior camp counselor for Links2Success.
Special thanks to Ashley Coone, Founder and Executive Director of Links2Success, for providing a bridge to help the Selby Foundation connect with more students in DeSoto County who may one day become Selby Scholars.
