Small organizations in our region can have a mighty impact improving the lives of people and the overall health of our community.
The following “Small and Mighty” grants were recently approved by the Selby Foundation to support nonprofits with annual operating budgets of $300,000 or less. One person at a time, they are making people safer, more supported, and more prepared for success in life through education.
- Bring on the Ministry– $3,939 for updates to a mobile shower trailer serving unhoused people in Manatee County
- Fabulous Arts Foundation– $8,136 for case management and cybersecurity software to support mental health services
- Hope DeSoto Long Term Recovery Group– $16,100 for hurricane relief and recovery materials in DeSoto County
- Manasota ASALH– $3,000 for technology to support the executive director leading the African American-history focused organization
- Sarasota Children’s Museum– $15,000 for design of a mobile learning lab to support local youth in hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) learning
- Sarasota Music Conservatory– $13,491 for soundproofing studio spaces and an interactive board for the highest standard of music education
